Radio host Jackie O Henderson speaks out about split from husband Lee
After 18 years together, breakfast radio host Jackie O Henderson has called time on her marriage with husband Lee.
Jackie, who is one half of high-rating Sydney duo Kyle and Jackie O, and British-born photographer Lee, parted ways amicably some time ago and have been keeping the news private until now.
Addressing their split on her KIISFM show on Friday morning, Jackie said, “It was extremely amicable, and I know everyone says that, but we actually have remained really good friends throughout this and we talk every day on the phone, we all still hang out as a family.”

“It’s not something that happened overnight – we’ve been separated for quite some time now.”
She added that “a separation is never easy” and neither was trying to keep their split out of the public eye, but she “wanted to keep that private for as long as we possibly could”.
“We just felt a separation was the right decision for us,” Jackie said, “I have so much respect for Lee and I always will”.
Jackie and Lee share a seven-year-old daughter, Kitty, and Jackie stressed that she will be their priority going forward.
“Our priority has always been Kitty through this… we want her to be part of a loving family,” she said.

As part of that commitment, they’ve continued to go out for dinner as a family every week, and spend weekends together.
Rumours had been swirling that she and Lee had separated some time ago, and Jackie’s non-appearance at the Australian Radio Awards at the weekend – where her show won Best On-Air Team – only heightened speculation.
The couple had been together for almost two decades after meeting in 2000 while Lee was backpacking around Australia.
They married three years later, and welcomed their daughter Kitty in 2010.
Jackie had previously been married to her radio co-host ‘Ugly Phil’ O’Neil, whom she wed in 1995 when she was just 19.
