Quinta Brunson gets an A-plus for her 2024 Emmy Awards look.

The comedian arrived at the Sept. 15 awards show in a chic gown showing off her glam style.

Brunson wore a shiny black strapless Georges Chakra FW24 couture that flared out at her knee into a dramatic train that would feel right at home on the dance floor. The bodice of the dress was accented by two big bows for a little extra pizzazz.

Brunson wore her hair slicked back and rocked vampy glam to keep the look evening-ready. And while the look debuted with opera gloves on the runway, she went without for the Emmys, which allowed her to showcase plenty of Tiffany & Co. jewels.

Brunson's past Emmys ensembles have included a magenta pink Dior Gown and bronze Dolce & Gabbana design that accomplished her goal of wanting to look like a "beautiful, little teeny, tiny Jessica Rabbit."

This year, Brunson — who's earned nine nominations and two wins since 2022 — is recognized in three categories: outstanding lead actress in a comedy series, outstanding writing for a comedy series and outstanding comedy series, all for Abbott Elementary.

Brunson, who plays Janine Teagues, has been starring in, executive producing and writing for the teacher-inspired series, which she also created, since it debuted in 2021.

Abbott Elementary will be back for a fourth season on Oct. 9 and Brunson told PEOPLE this month that fans can expect "a fun season of TV."

At the 2023 Emmys in January, the star made a stylish mark at the event in a pink crushed satin Dior dress with a bow at the waist teamed with nude pumps. She wore the dress, which featured a square neckline and full skirt, as she took home the award for outstanding lead actress in a comedy, becoming the first Black woman to do so in 42 years

For her debut Emmys in 2022, where she took home the trophy for outstanding writing for a comedy series, Brunson walked the gold carpet wearing a show-stopping custom Dolce & Gabbana brown metallic gown teamed with Jared Lehr rings and earrings. She completed the look with her hair styled in loose waves and a simple nude lip.

"I really wanted something that made me feel va-va-voom, but also respectful," she told Laverne Cox at the time. "I feel like I kind of have to do three jobs at once, actress, producer and writer, so it can be hard to find something that makes me comfortable being all three but also wearing something that makes me feel good and sexy and proud."

"And I wanted brown, I wanted nice, brown, beautiful, little teeny, tiny Jessica Rabbit," she added.

Brunson works with stylist Jessica Paster on crafting her red carpet wardrobe. She told InStyle in 2023, that it was a process finding the right stylist who pulled clothes that celebrated her frame.

"Not only am I 4-foot-11, [but] I'm 4-foot-11 with breasts and a butt," Brunson said. "And that's just the cardinal sin: to be short and have the nerve to have any type of curve."

"There were times where I would work with other stylists and have to be like, 'I'm not this young,' or, 'this feels too young for me.' And it would be like, 'No, you can pull it off,' " she shared. "And I was like, 'But it's not about pulling it off. It's about what I want to represent when I come to certain award shows or certain events I have to do.' "

"I'm not just an actress, not just a writer, not just a producer, not just a showrunner," she added. "I want to make sure I can convey who I am through what I wear."
