The Queen told Meghan and Harry to fix 'nightmare' family drama
As Meghan Markle’s family drama spirals out of control, it’s being claimed that the Queen has told Prince Harry and his wife to put an end to the debacle.
It’s been a rollercoaster month for the 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex, who is seven months pregnant with her first child, with her father releasing a letter she hand wrote to him, begging him to stop victimising her in public.
According to Vanity Fair columnist, Katie Nicholl, the Queen asked Harry and Meghan to shut the whole feud down before Christmas.
“She told them both that the whole thing was becoming a nightmare, and that they should try and sort things out,” a source told Katie.
Meghan’s friends speak out
Last week, five of Meghan Markle’s closest gal pals came out in support of their friend in an interview with People, claiming her father, Thomas Markle was the one who cut the Duchess out of his life, saying he refused to answer her calls after her May 19th wedding.
They said after Thomas posed for paparazzi photos, Harry and Meghan were still hell-bent on getting the former lighting director from Mexico to London in time for the wedding, but when a car pulled up outside his house to take him to the airport, he refused to get in.
“After the wedding she wrote him a letter. She’s like, ‘Dad, I’m so heartbroken. I love you. I have one father. Please stop victimising me through the media so we can repair our relationship’,” one of her friends told the publication.
Her 74-year-old dad is said to have written a lengthy reply, asking Meghan and Harry to pose for a photo with him, to dispel rumours of a rift.
“And she feels like, ‘That’s the opposite of what I’m saying. I’m telling you I don’t want to communicate through the media, and you’re asking me to communicate through the media. Did you hear anything I said?’,” the source continued.
Thomas Markle leaks Meghan’s letter
Just a few days later, Thomas Markle hit back at Meghan’s inner circle, by releasing a five-page letter his daughter had sent him to the Mail on Sunday.
In it, Meghan pleaded with him to stop doing interviews about her life, saying his ‘vicious lies’ made her ‘crumble inside’.
“Dad, I’m so heartbroken, I love you,” Meghan started the letter.
“I have one father. Please stop victimising me through the media so we can repair our relationship.
“On a daily basis you fixated and clicked on the lies they were writing about me, especially those manufactured by your other daughter, who I barely know.”
Prince Harry is said to be ‘angry’ and ‘upset’ , with a source telling Vanity Fair he’s fiercely protective of Meghan and can’t understand why his father-in-law, whom he still hasn’t even met, would upset her like this.
It’s also being reported that Meghan is so furious with the 74-year-old, that’s she’s considering taking legal action against him.
