Queen Letizia of Spain Goes Classic in Black Trousers and White Hugo Boss Blouse for a Royal Reception in Madrid

Queen Letizia of Spain chose a classic color scheme for her latest royal engagement on Monday. The royal welcomed representatives from the Spanish Association of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis in Madrid to highlight the organizations’s work.

For the occasion, Queen Letizia wore tailored black trousers and a white Hugo Boss blouse with three-quarter-length sleeves, front pleating and a cinched waist for a defined silhouette.

Queen Letizia coordinated her blouse with strappy sandals in a matching shade of white. She completed her look with dainty jewelry, including small hoop earrings.

Queen Letizia has favored black-and-white colorways in the past. During the commemoration of the Bicentennial of the National Police in Madrid last May, the Spanish royal wore a houndstooth blazer courtesy of Uterqüe, a brand within the Massimo Dutti retail chain.

She paired the Houndstooth blazer with a pair of crisp white trousers and completed the dressed-down power suit look with a pair of Vivobarefoot trainers in coordinating white.

While Queen Letizia’s royal wardrobe features classic black-and-white pieces, she is not averse to go bold when the occasion calls for it. In July, she wore a red Carolina Herrera dress for the Spanish football team’s reception after the UEFA Championship. Later that month, she embraced the liquid look trend in a metallic Hugo Boss dress. Her style blends classic silhouettes with contemporary designs and trends, creating a varied yet cohesive wardrobe for various royal occasions.

Located in Germany and operating since the early 1920s, Hugo Boss expanded its global reach in the early 2000s under CEO Bruno Sälzer, who revitalized the women’s line. In February 2022, the brand appointed Marco Falcioni as senior vice president of creative direction.
