Christina Hendricks Sends an Unmistakable Message in New Photo With No Words

Fans were pretty sure they understood exactly what Christina Hendricks was thinking with her latest social media post, though the actress didn’t include a caption to go along with the stricken look on her face in the photo.

On Wednesday, Nov. 6, Hendricks posted a photo on Instagram of herself lying on a couch, her expression serious and her eyes sad. It looked as though Hendricks, 49, might have been crying, though the image was slightly blurred.

The Mad Men alum was dressed entirely in black, a look that provided a sharp contrast to the bright red of her hair. One large lamp was on behind her, illuminating her body in a room that was otherwise steeped in shadows.

Many fans who left comments on the post assumed that Hendricks was mourning the outcome of the 2024 presidential election, as former President Donald Trump secured a victory in the race against Vice President Kamala Harris. Hendricks and many other celebrities endorsed Harris ahead of the Nov. 5 election.

“Exactly how I woke up feeling,” one fan wrote in response to Hendricks’ photo.

“The whole world is gonna change for the worse in the next 4 years,” another fan predicted.

“Scary, unbelievable and unacceptable. Consider yourself hugged ❤️,” one Instagram user said, as another said they were “in shock,” and a third said they felt “flabbergasted.”

“My feelings exactly. I don’t want to adult today. 😥,” another fan shared.

Though Hendricks was working in Scotland at the time her ballot arrived, the Good Girls star said she “made sure” it reached her so that her vote could be counted on Election Day.

“Please, please vote!” Hendricks had urged in her Oct. 28 Instagram post. “Plenty of online help to decipher each measure, etc. Just take that time and you’ll be so proud you did it. This has never been more important than now. I love you.” The actress concluded her post’s caption with two hashtags, one of which indicated her support for Harris’ campaign.
