Queen Camilla 'terrified' after King Charles' telling remark on royal tour
The King made a shocking statement about 'surviving' his cancer.
Friends of Queen Camilla claim she is 'terrified' and 'fearful' of King Charles as he battles an unnamed cancer. According to The Daily Beast, the insiders suggest Charles is 'rushing' his recovery after palace aides told newspapers that he will be available to continue travelling long haul.
The aides shared that Charles and Camilla's visit to Australia and Samoa was a great success, despite the fact the King had to pause his cancer treatment to make it work. The Queen's mental state is also being considered after the trip, after it was revealed she spent a week at a private and exclusive Ayurvedic retreat in India.
On the last day of the tour, one friend says she was having an "emotional reaction" and was moving between giggles and tears after Charles said at the farewell ceremony in Samoa, "I shall always remain devoted to this part of the world and hope that I survive long enough to come back again and see you."
A friend of Camilla's told The Daily Beast, "It was a strange thing to say, and I think Camilla had an emotional reaction. Of course it would. She is terrified. They have had a horrendous year. Now with this return to work, she is understandably fearful her husband is rushing it. She just wants him to slow down and prioritise his health."
Charles' doctors concerned for his health
It's not just the Queen who's concerned for the King's health, but his medical team is also reportedly nervous.
The Daily Mail has revealed that although Charles did his Australia and Samoa trip with two doctors, it's unsure what the missed treatments would have done to his body.
[T]here's concern among the king's medical team after an anonymous palace briefing that he will be returning to a full program of overseas tours in 2025," the Daily Mail shared. "Having skipped his cancer treatment regime to make the latest tour—and with no one certain how his body has coped—it was planned that he would take time off on his return, allowing him to recover and for doctors to carry out a full assessment of his well-being."
It comes following reports Charles will return to a "pretty normal looking full overseas tour program".
King Charles not responding to Prince Harry's calls and letters
It comes after reports King Charles isn't responding Prince Harry's phone calls and letters to keep stress levels down.
Robert Hardman, a Daily Mail contributor and author of The Making of a King: King Charles III and the Modern Monarchy, told Fox News Digital that Charles is being urged not to answer Harry's calls and messages to keep his 'stress levels down'.

"I know people keep saying, ‘Why doesn’t he see Harry when he is in town? Why can’t they patch things up?’" Hardman said. "But right now, there is a sense that we’ve just got to keep the king’s stress levels down. We don’t want him to have extra things to worry about. Let’s get through this… There is a sense that now is probably not the time.
"If you listen to what Harry has said in his TV series, in his book, in interviews — there’s a lot to unpack," Hardman added. "There are a lot of things he wants to get sorted out to go through to process… Right now, there’s a sense that it’s not the time. But I’m sure the king would like to normalise things."
