Pulsar Content Boards Horror Title ‘Push’ Starring Alicia Sanz & Raúl Castillo – EFM

EXCLUSIVE: Pulsar Content has board worldwide sales on U.S. directorial duo Justin Powell and David Charbonier’s horror feature Push for a European Film Market rollout next month.

The deal was brokered with UTA which boarded U.S sales rights ahead of the movie’s well received premiere at the Sitges Film Festival last October.

The tense home invasion horror thriller stars Alicia Sanz as a pregnant realtor preparing for an open house at a property with a dark past.

When a sadistic killer (Raúl Castillo) posing as a potential client shows up, Natalie goes into premature labor and must find a way to escape before she gives birth.

“Justin and David have already shown their great talent to create jumpscares and keep the audience on the edge and we are delighted to present their new film to the market,” Pulsar Content said in a statement. The Paris-based company will market premiere the film at the EFM.

Writing and directing duo Powell and Charbonier have previously made waves with IFC Midnight title The Djinn and Shudder’s The Boy Behind The Door.

Lead actress Sanz’s recent credits include Wango Films thriller Simulant, the Apple series Now and Then, and the Amazon series El Cid.

Raúl Castillo’s starred in Paramount’s Smile 2 and he is filming The Hand That Rocks The Cradle alongside Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Maika Monroe.  Recent film credits include Cassandro (Prime Video), Miguel Wants To Fight (Hulu), and The Inspection (A24) for which he received a Gotham Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Performance.

Push is produced by Powell and Charbonier and Ryan Scaringe, who previously collaborated with the directors on their two precedent features.

Del Charbonier, Amy Lippens and Jilbert Daniel served as executive producers, alongside Sanz and Castillo.

Pulsar Content’s EFM lineup also includes Chloé Robichaud’s Sundance competition sex-comedy Two Women; feature documentary The Musician and The Whale, Alice Douard’s Love Letters: Damien Dorsaz’s biopic Lady Nazca; Leonardo DiCaprio and Jane Goodall EPed adventure Howl and French actress Joséphine Japy feature debut The Wonderers.
