Queen Letizia and King Felipe VI of Spain’s eldest daughter, Princess Leonor, departed Madrid for her official trip to Portugal on Friday. The trip marks the 18-year-old’s first solo royal visit.

For the occasion, Princess Leonor opted for a trend popular among several European royal women. The young royal fashioned a fiery red power suit by Caroline Herrera for her visit to Portugal. The suit featured a crepe double-breasted jacket and crepe pants in the same shade of red for a monochrome look.
Princess Leonor also wore a pair of Pinkchic Guagua taupe pumps to complete her look. As for her accessories, Princess Leonor kept her jewelry choices simple, opting for a dainty pair of rose gold needle earrings with diamonds and a ruby by Gold & Roses.
The young royal kept the rest of her looks fairly simple and streamlined. Her long chestnut tresses were styled straight and cascaded down her shoulders with a middle part. As for her makeup, Princess Leonor opted for a clean look with a hint of bold eyes.
Princess Leonor wasn’t the only member of Spain’s royal family to make an overseas trip as of late. On Sunday, Princess Leonor’s sister, Princess Infanta Sofía, and father, King Felipe VI, attended the Union of European Football Associations Championship match in Berlin.
For the occasion, Princess Sofía styled a look not dissimilar from her own sister’s Portugal tour ensemble. Princess Sofía wore a white blouse with tailored red pants — a sartorial homage to Spain’s national flag and the soccer team’s uniforms.
Prior to their individual excursions, Princess Leonor and Princess Sofía joined their parents for the Girona Awards in Barcelona, where the two princesses wore looks that perfectly complemented their mother’s attire. Queen Letizia wore a bespoke asymmetric midi dress by Mango in a neutral tone.
Queen Letizia’s style consistently features traditional pieces with modern twists. Based on their recent solo appearances, Princess Leonor and Princess Sofía may have inherited their mother’s fashion sensibility.
