Today's Allison Langdon makes awkward royal slip-up live on air
The fallout from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's bombshell interview with media queen Oprah just keeps coming.
And with so many moving parts, it can be tricky to stay on top of everything even if you're in charge of reporting on it all — as Today host Allison Langdon knows too well.
Prince Phillip ‘in jail’
Ally made a right royal gaffe on Wednesday morning while discussing the impact the Sussexes' explosive claims might have on the Queen and the ailing Prince Philip, who remains in hospital following heart surgery.
"She has weathered a lot of storms lately," Ally began in reference to the 94-year-old monarch.
"Prince Andrew, this, and of course her husband's in jail so..." she went on, leaving her co-host Karl Stefanovic aghast.

Realising her error, Ally, 41, attempted to correct it but only made things worse.
"Oh! Prison!" she went on before adding, "No, hospital! Let's go with hospital."
The 99-year-old prince has, of course, been in hospital since February 18 after being admitted for an infection. He was later transferred to another hospital where he underwent surgery for a pre-existing heart condition.
While his colleague buried her head in her hands, Karl, 46, quipped, "Breaking news this morning..."
"Anyway, our thoughts are with the Queen this morning," a blushing Ally added.
"From the hospital to the clink! He's having a tough day, Phil," joked Karl.
"He is... so am I," a clearly tired Ally replied with a sigh.
UK host storms off set
Ally's wasn't the only head-turning moment on TV of late. Good Morning Britain star Piers Morgan has stormed off the set of the breakfast show following an on-air clash over Meghan Markle with co-host Alex Beresford.
Alex called the former tabloid editor out for 'trashing' the duchess for years, particularly in the wake of the Oprah tell-all prompting Piers to declare he was 'done with this' and walk off set.
After the live dummy spit, ITV producers confirmed that Piers, 55, would be leaving his role on GMA after six years.
