Prince Harry's shock claim about Prince William: 'Happy to lie'

Prince Harry surprised many when he spoke about his brother in the trailer for the next three episodes of his Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan. The Duke of Sussex seemingly accuses the Palace of lying for Prince William, adding they weren't happy to simply tell the truth for him.

Harry tells the cameras, "They were happy to lie to protect my brother, they were never willing to tell the truth to protect us."

The Duke adds that he felt he and Meghan were the victims of "institutional gaslighting".

It isn't clear what particular events Harry could be referring to and who "they" are, however, he and Meghan have previously accused members of the royal household of leaking information to the press to purposefully damage their reputation.

In the trailer, Harry says, "I wonder what would've happened to us had we not got out when we did," with Meghan adding, "Our security was being pulled. Everyone in the world knew where we were."

"I said, 'We need to get out of here,'" the Duke says.

Meghan shares, "I wasn't being thrown to the wolves, I was being fed to the wolves."

As clips of Harry and Meghan's wedding along with video of newspaper headlines about the pair, she tells the camera, "It gave us a chance to create that home we always wanted."

"I've always felt as though this was a fight worth fighting for," Harry adds.

Christopher Bouzy, the tech entrepreneur behind Bot Sentinel which fights disinformation and harassment online, tells the cameras, "They were actively recruiting people to disseminate disinformation."

Tyler Perry, the actor who lent the couple his home when they first arrived in California shares, "They just wanted to be free to love and be happy. I applauded that."
