Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to miss Diana event with royals
Rumours that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be reunited with the royal family after over a year apart were firmly put to bed today.
It was believed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may return to the UK for a reception to honour Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.
However, a spokesperson for the couple has confirmed to the Telegraph that the royal couple won't be in attendance at the bash at Kensignton Palace.
The celebration was originally planned to take place in July after the Diana statue was unveiled at the Sunken Garden of the palace to mark the 20th anniversary of Diana's tragic passing.
But due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was massively scaled back.

The news that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not returning to the UK may come as a blow to the Queen, after reports surfaced last week that she ‘would like’ to see them both return to royal life.
Photographer Kent Gavin told 9Honey that “only time will tell” if the Sussexes make their wa =y back to their royal roles.
"I certainly know the Queen would like it, from what I am hearing from people at the palace."
Kent added a lot of it would come down to what Prince Harry decides to include in his upcoming tell-all memoir.
"I don't know how they will go about that, the more Harry is going to disclose in those books, there is still a lot, we understand, to come out. It will be interesting to see," he said.
