US TV host claims Prince Harry 'oozed alcohol from every pore'
US TV host Katie Couric has claimed Prince Harry "oozed alcohol from every pore" and stank of cigarettes during his "wild oats sowing phase".
The host shared details of her encounter with Harry in her new memoir Going There, revealing she met him at a polo match in Brazil in 2012, according to The Daily Mail. This was just two months before the Duke of Sussex's infamous trip to Las Vegas where he was photographed naked playing 'strip billiards' in his hotel room.
Katie interviewed the then-27-year-old, who she said was "known for his cheeky sense of humour and love of partying a bit".
However, she added, "But we got to see the warm and personal side when we talked about what his grandmother means to him."

"When we were young, it was very easy to take our grandmother for granted," Harry told Katie during the ABC interview. "She was just a grandmother to us and it's only been over the past five, eight to ten years that I've come to understand the huge deal she is."
The Duke also opened up about wanting a family, "I've longed for kids since I was very, very young. I'm waiting to find the right person and someone who's willing to take on the job."
Of course, Harry's dream would eventually come true after marrying Meghan Markle in 2018 and later welcoming son Archie in 2019 and daughter Lilibet earlier this year.
The pair recently appeared in New York City at the Global Citizen Live event in Central Park to encourage the distribution of Covid-19 vaccines with those most in need.
Body language expert Judi James told Daily Mail, she believed Meghan was the 'lead star' on stage, while Harry showed 'pride' in his wife.
"In performance terms it was Harry who seemed to recognise his wife as lead star, gazing at her with eyes slightly narrowed to show pride but also performing some anxiety rituals like clothing and finger-fiddling as he watched her more powerful speech," Judi told the publication.
She also said Harry acted "like a bit of a rock star" on stage, whereas Meghan sounded and looked more "eloquent and passionate".
Prince Harry took the mic first and asked, "Are you ready to do what's necessary to end this pandemic?" with Meghan then adding: "Every single person on this planet has a fundamental right to get this vaccine. That's the point, but that's not happening. And while in this country and many others, you can go almost anywhere and get vaccinated, billions of people around the world cannot."
"Just think about the millions of vaccines that have been discarded this year. That's like throwing away life vests when those around you are drowning," she concluded.
Their appearances in New York were the first time the pair had been seen out together since the arrival of daughter Lilibet in June.
