Never fear, 'To All the Boys' fans: Centineo has his sights set on more romance roles in the near future
Noah Centineo is ready for romance again.
The actor, 28, is approaching a milestone birthday, and as he makes his way closer to 30, he's got some ideas in mind.
"I'll probably quit acting," he says on the latest episode of PEOPLE in 10 when asked what's on his bucket list for his career in the next two years. "Just kidding!"
In all seriousness, Centineo admits, "I would like to do a rom-com before I turn 30. I'd like to do another one of those, for sure."
The To All the Boys I've Loved Before alum previously told PEOPLE he'd "like to go back to romance" after shifting gears and focusing on action over the last few years — first in 2022's Black Adam and then in seasons 1 and 2 of The Recruit.
"I don't know if it would be YA [young adult], but I do want to go back to romance," he said.

Noah Centineo as Peter Kavinsky in 'XO, Kitty' season 2He dipped his toes back into the romance waters briefly last year as he reprised the role of Peter Kavinsky for an episode of XO, Kitty season 2, but that wasn't without its challenges.
"You have this character that has made an impact and... I was afraid to take Peter out of the box and kind of reopen that," he says on PEOPLE in 10. "But I love Anna [Cathcart] so much and she's just so talented, and what she does on XO, Kitty is fantastic."
He'd previously told PEOPLE how "daunting" it was to step back into the fan-favorite character's shoes — but fans were overjoyed to see him back on their screens.
"It's extremely scary. Peter Kavinsky and To All the Boys, I mean that franchise is so beloved, that you kind of don't want to touch it."

"This season moves so fast — once it starts [through] to the very end — it just doesn't let go of you," he tells PEOPLE in 10. "There's so much more action in this season and that's really exciting. And I think, if you liked the first season of The Recruit, the second season is all the best qualities of the first season, but injected with adrenaline.
