Peter Facinelli Shares What 'Mirror' Son Jack, 2, Has Helped Him 'Work on' as a Parent
Peter Facinelli might already have three grown-up daughters with his ex-wife, Jennie Garth, but he is still learning a lot about being a parent as he raises his youngest, 2-year-old Jack.
The Twilight actor welcomed his son with his fiancée, Lily Anne Harrison, in 2022. Reflecting on the first two years with his little boy, Facinelli told Page Six in a new interview that Jack is "kind of a mirror for me sometimes as the things I still need to work on."
"Just the other day when he was frustrated and crying—and a lot of times you get anxious because they’re throwing a little tantrum—I kind of sat down on his level and I just hugged him," he told the publication, recounting a recent learning experience with Jack.
Facinelli went on, "I said, ‘I see you’re frustrated.’ And it was so beautiful because my calmness calmed him down and I didn’t have to be like, ‘Hey, don’t do that’ or ‘Stop crying.'"
He admitted that, during similar situations in the past, he would "try to fix it with words," but that he is trying something new by "allowing that space for [Jack] to be."

While raising Jack, Facinelli appears close with his older daughters, Fiona, Lola and Luca, as well as his ex-wife. He even took Garth and her current husband, Dave Abrams, in when they evacuated amid the California wildfires.
He described the situation, saying, "The family, the kids, all were, kind of, sitting on the couch waiting to see if my house was going to get evacuated next." Thankfully, it never got to that point, and they "were able to all seek shelter there.”
