People All Over The Internet Are Superstreaming Leighton Meester And Heidi Montag's Music — Here's Why
You know Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag of reality TV fame.
They're famous for their infamous roles as more-or-less reality TV villains on MTV's The Hills.
After they were married in 2008, the couple had a rough start. The pair filed for divorce in 2010 before reconciling later that year and continuing their reality TV reign as an infamous couple on shows like Celebrity Big Brother: All Stars vs New Stars and the 2019 revival of The Hills. In 2023, they launched Speidi's 16th Minute podcast.
Whether you loved or hated them, the couple thrived together, sharing two children, Gunner and Ryker, and living in the Pacific Palisades.
But on Jan. 7, they lost their home in the fires that devastated the Los Angeles neighborhood, destroying more than 12,000 structures and killing at least 27 people as per CBS News.
The Palisades and Eaton fires have created insurmountable losses for residents and business owners in the surrounding areas, including Malibu and Altadena. People from all walks of life have endured the horrors of the disaster, including many celebrities who have lost their homes.
Actors Leighton Meester and her husband, Adam Brody, also lost their home in the Pacific Palisades fire.
If you were glued to the TV, like me, between 2003-2012, religiously watching MTV or Gossip Girl, you'll remember that in addition to being millennial TV icons, Heidi and Leighton also made pop music. While Heidi had released a couple of singles in 2024, the majority of their music remained memories of that particular era — until now.

Following the actors' devastating losses, many fans have shown their support by blasting Heidi and Leighton's songs on social media, especially other celebrities.
Josh Peck posted a video dancing to Heidi's "I'll Do It" from her 2010 album Superficial.
Heidi's reality TV costar Brody Jenner posted a video kicking back to "I'll Do It" as well.
American DJ and producer Diplo captured himself riding an airplane to the beat of "I'll Do It."
Paris Hilton danced with her kids to "I'll Do It."
TV personality Holly Madison posted a video vibing out to "Body Language," one of Heidi's earliest songs.
And her The Hills costar Kristin Cavallari posted a video rocking out to "Go Harder," a new 2025 single.
The one celebrity really going all out with his support was Flavor Flav. He posted himself dancing over what looks like Britney Spears's iconic backdrop to "I'll Do It."
Joining fan support for Leighton in the same fashion, Flav also posted a video of him posing for a photo shoot with her 2009 Robin Thicke collaboration "Somebody to Love" in the background.
Thanks to everyone's efforts, Leighton's 2014 album Heartstrings was at No. 7 on the iTunes all-genre album chart. Heidi's 2010 music reached No.1 on iTunes.

In response to her music going viral and charting in 2025, Heidi posted a TikTok thanking her supporters. "Waking up to 'Superficial' being number one song on the top iTunes charts. Superficial album being number one on overall genres. Thank you for giving us such light in the darkness," she said. "Really taking such a hard, life-altering destructive thing and using it and shedding a light. That was definitely our darkest hour, and it comes in waves, and it is really hard. Thank you for being that light for us."

Other celebrities like Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Joshua Jackson, Anna Faris, and more have lost their homes, including countless others from all walks of life outside celebrity fame. It's reassuring to see folks support each other through volunteering or positively using social media to bring awareness of LA wildfires and put people into one of the best eras of millennial music.
Now, this is how we show up for each other, people!
What song from Heidi or Leighton are you going to stream? Let me know in the comments.
