Peeps Just Became a Frozen Treat, and You Need to Try It

The Easter season is almost here, which means it's just about time to start planning out all your meals and all those tasty sweets. And this year, two seasonal icons are coming together to bring you something extra special.

On Monday, The Icee Company and Peeps announced they're coming together for the ultimate spring treat: Peeps-flavored Icee.

“Icee and Peeps are both nostalgic brands that bring joy to fans of all ages, making this collaboration a perfect match,” Kimmra Hingher, vice president of marketing at Icee, shared in a statement provided to Food & Wine. “We’re always looking for fun, innovative ways to surprise our fans, and bringing the sweet, fluffy taste of Peeps Marshmallow to an Icee does just that. Whether you’re celebrating the season or simply craving something new, this limited-edition flavor is a must-try.”

According to the two brands, the ice-cold treat really does have the "unmistakable Marshmallow sweetness of Peeps" and can be found at participating convenience stores, as well as "mass merchandisers, trampoline parks, movie theaters, and theme parks," including select Target, Regal, and Main Event locations.

“Peeps has been bringing smiles to springtime celebrations for decades, and we love finding new ways for fans to enjoy our classic Marshmallow flavor,” Caitlin Servian, brand manager for Peeps, added. “Sipping on a Peeps-flavored Icee is a whole new way to experience the fun and whimsy of Peeps, and we can’t wait for fans to try this sweet, refreshing treat.”

This isn't the only thing Peeps has going on this spring. In early February it also announced it's rolling out Peeps milk in partnership with Promised Land Dairy, which the two said is "a delicious, limited-time offering that delivers Easter delight straight from the cow."

"Promised Land Dairy is dedicated to crafting the most delicious milk flavors daily. We're thrilled to introduce exciting new seasonal varieties to our premium lineup," Heather Foitek, vice president of marketing and sales for Lala U.S., which owns Promised Land Dairy, shared in a statement about the milk. "Peeps has been the perfect partner in this limited-time product. Our only concern now is if parents will leave any for the kids or the Easter bunny … it's just that good."

Of course, you could always double down with an Icee and a tall glass of Peeps milk if you're feeling extra. We won't judge. In fact, we'd commend you for it.
