“Peaky Blinders” movie reveals first look at Barry Keoghan's mystery role amid set leaks
Paparazzi leaked photos of the Oscar nominee's mystery role from set, so here's a proper look.
Saltburn star and The Banshees of Inisherin Oscar nominee Barry Keoghan has arrived for Peaky Blinders.
Netflix officially released a first look at the actor's character for the upcoming feature-length movie, which is set in the world of the 1900s gangster TV epic. The reveal coincides with paparazzi leaking snaps of Keoghan on location in Yorkshire, England to shoot the production, so it's likely that the powers that be wanted to give the world a proper look at him in action.
Details of his specific character are being kept under wraps, but Keoghan looks right at home in the same arena as Cillian Murphy's Tommy Shelby.

"[I'm a] massive, massive fan of the show, and Cillian [Murphy]'s a good friend and I f---ing admire him as an actor, as well," Keoghan previously told Entertainment Weekly of joining the movie. "So just looking to get into that and getting my process now — I have a process I do, and I've not done it for a long while, so I'm excited and nervous at the same time."

Steven Knight, the show's creator, returns as writer and producer of the Peaky Blinders movie, which is directed by Tom Harper (Heart of Stone). Story information is being kept firmly locked away for the time being, but it's described as "an epic continuation" of the series set during World War II. As Knight put it, "The country is at war, and so, of course, are our Peaky Blinders."

Previously, fans have only seen two official images from the movie: one of Tommy back in action, and one behind-the-scenes shot of Murphy and Knight on set together. Rebecca Ferguson and Tim Roth are also confirmed to appear in the film alongside Murphy and Keoghan.
"Just being on set, that rusty feeling again. Just shaking off all the cobwebs," Keoghan told EW. "I've been doing a lot of promotion and I've been chilling, and I think people get scared when they find themselves having free time. I think sometimes it's the best thing to grow as an actor and as a person, and so I've had that time and I'm looking forward now to getting in and doing the creative, method-y thing."
