Yahoo Lifestyle ‘Outlander’s Sam Heughan Is ‘Bringing the Heat’ in Shirtless Photo While Promoting New Show
Sam Heughan’s fans were thrilled to see the Scottish actor posing shirtless for a new photo that he shared online this week.
The Outlander star shared 20 snapshots documenting some of his life’s recent moments in a Friday, Jan. 17, post on Instagram, but it was the first photo that had some of his social media followers doing a double take.
In the photo, Heughan posed for a selfie with actresses Jessica De Gouw, Eleanor Tomlinson and others as they lifted champagne glasses as if toasting the moment. Heughan used the post’s caption to remind his fans that The Couple Next Door, the British thriller he stars in along with De Gouw and Tomlinson, was scheduled to begin airing in the U.S. later that day.
“So pleased the US finally gets to see this show, had the most wonderful time shooting with an incredible cast and terrifically fun crew,” Heughan wrote. The 44-year-old actor then offered a tip to those who haven’t yet seen the show: “Enjoy!! ( just remember to close your curtains) 😏😳.”
“Love the shirtless look Sam 🔥🔥,” one fan wrote as another informed him, “Sam😍💕you make my heart swoon.”
“WAIT! What is happening! A Heughan showing his incredible pecks?? I LIKE IT 🔥,” one Instagram user commented.
“Bringing’ the heat on this cold night🔥,” another Instagram user wrote.
Others wrote in to praise the series, with one commenting, “👏👏Very good series, plus seeing the whole team having fun is really great.❤️❤️,” as another viewer who already saw the show said they “Won’t say how many times I have rewatched but I must say you are all in for a treat.”
Heughan has been busy promoting The Couple Next Door over the last several days in anticipation of its U.S. release. During a Wednesday, Jan. 15, appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he described the show as “a psychological sexy drama” with “an amazing cast.”
“The storyline is so explosive,” Heughan told the talk show’s audience, adding, “You’re going to love it.”
