An end to Droughtlander is finally in sight!

It's been a long time since Outlander aired its season 7 part 1 finale back in August 2023, when Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) found themselves in the middle of the Revolutionary war. As a soldier in the fight for America's independence from England, Jamie and Claire end up in a number of scenarios that have them constantly in danger. Between numerous deaths, Claire saving lives and the couple's daughter, Brianna (Sophie Skelton), and her husband, Roger MacKenzie (Richard Rankin), traveling forward in time to the 20th century, the show left a lot to be explored.

Luckily, the show confirmed that additional installments are coming in the form of a part 2. As we prepare to head back to Fraser's Ridge and Scotland, here's what fans can expect from Outlander season 7 part 2, including cast, episodes, news and more.

What will Outlander season 7, part 2 be about?

While the higher ups at Starz didn't share any explicit details on what Outlander season 7 part 2 could be about, we know that the storyline for all of season 7 is based on Diana Gabaldon's seventh overall book in the Outlander series, titled An Echo in the Bone. What's more, viewers remember that the midseason finale ended with Claire and Jamie reuniting amid the latter's participation in the Revolutionary War, and they eventually make their way back onto a ship headed toward Scotland. But given how the series (both literary and TV) always comes with a set of twists, we're sure there will be additional bumps in their story.

Even though things are still up in the air for our favorite characters, Sam did tell Us Weekly to expect an emotional journey for Jamie throughout the latter half of season 7. "You see how emotional it is for Jamie," he told the outlet in November 2024. "He’s an honorable man. He loves his family and his sister, and he promised he’d bring [his nephew] Young Ian home."

Well, given how the second half will see Jamie and Claire back in Scotland for the first time since leaving in season 3, it'll be good to see the group reunite with those who haven't been seen in some time. But it may also mean something else is happening with Jamie and Claire, as Sam teased to Town and Country: "Scotland, separation, and drama."

This definitely has us intrigued!
