Another fan said that the star was “giving low key Jesus vibes”.

Jesus-like or not, Payne’s lockdown look definitely got the thumbs up from his army of devoted followers.

“Liam you are making 2021 a good year already,” one person enthused on Instagram, while others said they loved his fresh image.

“Sir your hair is so gorgeous,” gushed another, while one said he looked “amazing”.

Payne, 27, has previously spoken out about how the coronavirus pandemic has had an impact on him, sharing last year that it has meant time away from his son Bear.

The singer is co-parenting the three-year-old with his former flame Cheryl.

Opening up about it in an interview with Tings magazine late last year, he said: “[Lockdown] it's the longest I haven't seen him in his life.

“But we discussed from the start and for different reasons, me and Cheryl decided I should be away for a little bit, it's not unusual for me to be in and out of his life.”

Payne and Cheryl, 37, started dating in 2016 and they welcomed Bear - the first child for each of them - the following year, before splitting in 2018.

Liam also recently discussed how his former bandmate, Louis Tomlinson, has been helping him through lockdown.

"I’ve been struggling with it a little bit, Louis has definitely been there for me over the past couple of weeks, so I gotta say thank-you,” he shared with Capital FM.
