Unfortunately, not all marriages are a "happily ever after." And if you've been married for a long time, you may have learned lessons about what you would have done differently looking back.
So, older adults who are currently married and regret it: We want to hear your story.
Maybe you married later in life out of pressure from family, but marriage was never something you truly wanted. And after time has passed, you wish you had stayed single after all.
Perhaps you married your S.O. despite warnings from your loved ones who saw red flags because you were in love. Now, after doing life together, you discovered those red flags were huuuge warning signs for bad character, and you feel completely trapped in an unhealthy marriage.
Maybe you married someone you didn't love just because you feared being alone. After building a family and life together, your life looks perfect on the outside — but in reality, you're in a loveless and unhappy marriage and don't know what to do.
Or perhaps things started well with you and your spouse until you found out a devastating secret that completely broke trust, and now, you're considering divorce.
Or maybe you always dreamed of being married, so you got married very young and never considered the responsibilities, transitions, and changes that came with it. But now, you wish you had taken more time to accomplish other things first or figure out what you really wanted before tying the knot.
