Not Taylor Swift adding TTPD to Eras Tour in a ballgown covered in ‘Fortnight’ lyrics
When it comes to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, we've officially lost track of time. It feels like forever she's been travelling the globe performing such hits as 'Cruel Summer' and 'Blank Space' in basically everywhere that isn't the UK. But Taylor has finally kicked off the European leg of the tour (!!) starting in Paris last night [Thursday 9 May].
The show marked the first since Tay's surprise 'The Tortured Poets Department' album release. As well as wondering how on earth she has the time to write a whole double album while touring, fans were also asking if this would signal a set list overhaul.
Short answer: yes. Alongside a new support act (hi, Paramore!), Taylor revealed new costumes to accompany the new TTPD songs on the refreshed set list. Namely, the most incredible custom Vivienne Westwood ballgown inscribed with lyrics from 'Fortnight' all over the dress' skirt.
Featuring the designer's signature bustier bodice with visible corset boning, it then billowed out into a voluminous, draped skirt with an asymmetric high low hem with built-in shorts underneath. Made from white recycled taffeta, the lyrics "I love you, it's ruining my life" were written in cursive font in varying sizes over the entirety of the skirt.
Taylor completed the look with a three-row beaded choker in black agate featuring the Vivienne Westwood orb detail logo at the centre of her throat. White lace-up heeled pointed-toe ankle boots on her feet added to the regal Victoria feel of the dress.
It's major Eras Tour outfit inspo. Just don't forget your beaded friendship bracelet à la Barry Keoghan.
