‘Nosferatu’ Director Robert Eggers Sets Next Movie ‘Werwulf’ for Christmas 2026 Release
Robert Eggers is sinking his teeth into his next horror project.
Eggers is reteaming with Focus Features for his next film “Werwulf,” a werewolf horror feature that he will direct from a script he co-wrote with Sjón, Variety has confirmed. The film is slated for a Christmas Day 2026 release.

Focus Features most recently financed and released Eggers’ critically-acclaimed gothic horror film “Nosferatu,” starring Lily Rose-Depp, Bill Skarsgard, Nicolas Hoult, Emma Corrin, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Willem Dafoe.
Eggers and Sjón, who also co-wrote 2022’s “The Northman” together, are producing the upcoming werewolf film in collaboration with Focus Features, while Maiden Voyage’s Chris and Eleanor Columbus are serving as executive producers.
