No, Kylie Jenner Was Not Absent as Boyfriend Timothée Chalamet’s Category Was Being Announced at Golden Globes 2025
Despite internet speculation, the makeup mogul, 27, was seated next to her boyfriend when his category was announced at the starry awards show
Sorry, internet. Kylie Jenner did not, in fact, miss her boyfriend Timothée Chalamet's category being announced at the 2025 Golden Globes.
Fans noticed that when Chalamet's name was called among the nominees for best performance by a male actor in a motion picture — drama by presenters Édgar Ramirez and Gal Gadot at the Sunday, Jan. 5 ceremony, his girlfriend was not in the frame at the seat beside him, where she had notably been all night.
The absence led some to guess that Jenner, 27, had missed Chalamet's category, but that wasn't the case at all. At the same time that a close-up shot of the nominee was shown, the CBS broadcast panned out to the larger crowd at the Beverly Hilton Hotel to show where each actor was sitting, and Jenner was right by her beau's side.
She likely leaned away from the close-up shot to let Chalamet, 27, who was nominated for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, have his moment.

Along with Chalamet, who is a four-time Globe nominee, Daniel Craig, Colman Domingo, Ralph Fiennes, Sebastian Stan and Adrien Brody were also nominated in the category, and Brody took home the win for The Brutalist.
It was a starry night for the couple, who were first linked in April 2023. Though Jenner did not walk the carpet with Chalamet, she instead met him inside the event at his table. She was bonding all night with his costars Elle Fanning and Monica Barbaro, who she was seated with, and was spotted chatting and laughing with the ladies throughout the show.
At one point, she was captured taking a fun selfie with Fanning, 26, and Barbaro, 34, and later, Fanning's sister Dakota joined in on the fun and posed for a photo with Jenner, too.
There were also plenty of cute couple moments during the rare public date night for Jenner and Chalamet. The mom of two pulled out a film camera at one point and snapped a candid shot of her beau as he was chatting with Elle, and eagle-eyed fans also noticed that the pair shared a sneaky kiss during the show too — an echo of their similarly PDA-filled attendance at last year's Golden Globes.
Jenner and the Dune star also left the event holding hands.
The couple's fun night out comes after a source told PEOPLE that their relationship is "great and very easy."
"He's super supportive of her priorities and he works around her schedule a lot. They are both committed to making it work," the source said.
Jenner has also begun integrating Chalamet into her family officially, as the couple "had an early Christmas celebration together before Kylie spent Christmas Day with her family."
"It took Kylie a long time to introduce him to her kids," the source said, referring to Stormi, 6 and Aire, 2, who she shares with ex Travis Scott. "He's part of the family now though. Her kids know him as a 'friend.'"

Jenner's attendance at the Golden Globes also followed her support of her boyfriend at the L.A. premiere of the Bob Dylan biopic in December. She attended the after-party with Chalamet and was "affectionate" with him, sitting on his lap and kissing him during the night as he celebrated the film's release. They exited the party hand-in-hand, just like Sunday's awards show.
