Nikki Glaser plans to steer clear of any jokes about Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni while hosting the Golden Globes.

The comedian, 40, is set to host the awards show this Sunday, Jan. 5, and in an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment she confirmed she won't bring up the legal battles between It Ends With Us costars Lively and Baldoni during the ceremony.

"I think the Blake Lively–Justin Baldoni thing is such a hot-button thing right now that even a mere mention of it will seem like I could be on the wrong side of things, even though I would never be," Glaser told the outlet.

"I also don't want to give his name any— I'm mad I even know his name, to be honest with you, so I don't need to say it anymore," she added.

Teasing her planned routines for the Globes, Glaser insisted that she is "not gonna go so hard that anyone's gonna be offended."

"I've made a point not to, and that's not to disappoint anyone who's hoping I'm going to pull a Ricky Gervais. I'm not Ricky Gervais. This isn't my last Golden Globes, this is my first one," she said. "He really went hard on his last one. He was ready to burn some bridges [because] it didn't matter anymore."

Lively filed a complaint in December 2024 against Baldoni and his associates, alleging sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign to tarnish her reputation. Baldoni's lawyer Bryan Freedman called the allegations "false, outrageous and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt."

Baldoni later filed a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times over the newspaper's article published Dec. 21 about Lively's complaint. A spokesperson for The Times said its story "was meticulously and responsibly reported."

About her Globes hosting priorities, Glaser recently told PEOPLE, “I’m not out for blood. I want everyone to have a good night. I am really in service of the people that are being honored there."
