She left Australia for a change of scenery and new challenges, but it seems Hollywood has delivered something far more exciting for Esther Anderson – a husband!
The former Home And Away beauty is bubbling with happiness after a romantic Valentine’s Day proposal from her boyfriend of 15 months, Howard Moggs.
‘He got me good,’ laughs the 36-year-old actress from the home she and her advertising executive beau recently bought in Los Angeles.

‘We’d moved into our house on February 12, and on Valentine’s Day, Howie suggested we take some Champagne up to the love seat at the back of our garden.
‘It was sunset and when we got up there, he had Champagne chilling and there were tealights around. I thought it was a lovely way to celebrate our new home but suddenly he was down on one knee asking me to marry him.’

Esther – who has brought Howard home to meet her family in Geelong, and met his English family and adores them, says they intend to live in the US – at least in the short-term.
Meanwhile, for Howard, jaded by Hollywood’s superficial nature, Esther was a breath of fresh air.
‘She is incredible,’ he says.
‘In LA, there are lots and lots of really beautiful people, but they often have their own agenda. Esther is a super-sweet, honest person who wears her heart on her sleeve. I really am the luckiest man in the world.'
