This week, Evie (played by Philippa Northeast) discovers a lump in her breast and immediately suspects the worst.
‘Of course, she’s even more sensitive to the issue because her mother died of cancer,’ Philippa tells New Idea.
‘She tells Leah, Zac and Hannah, her parental figures, that she’s found this lump.'

Brave Evie makes her way to the hospital, where Dr Nate (Kyle Pryor) takes a biopsy of the growth.
'She and Oscar [Jake Speer] still worry about whether cancer is going to be an issue with their family history,' explains Philippa.
‘Hannah, being the nurse she is, suggests it might be a good idea if the family look into the BRCA gene test to see if they’ve got a higher risk of developing breast cancer.’

The only upside to the health scare is that Josh (Jackson Gallagher) and Evie reconnect and have an awkward date.
‘She blew it for her and Josh,’ Philippa says.
‘But with everything that’s going on, it may bring them back together!’
