Netflix's “Untold” Returns with Steve McNair's Murder, Hope Solo's Fallout with USWNT: Watch the Trailer

New episodes of the sports documentary series will be released weekly starting Aug. 20

Netflix is back with volume 4 of UNTOLD, the hit sports documentary film series chronicling stories and events from across all aspects of the athletic world — and the truth of what really happened.

In a newly released trailer for the upcoming installments, viewers are introduced to three new films about the Tennessee Titans’ run to the 2000 Super Bowl and the murder of former MVP player Steve “Air” McNair, the University of Michigan college football sign-stealing scandal and the complicated story of Hope Solo, a former goalkeeper for the U.S. women’s national soccer team.

Per Netflix, the McNair film will dive deep into the "unanswered questions surrounding his 2009 murder" in UNTOLD: The Murder of Air McNair, directed by Rodney Lucas and Taylor Alexander Ward. Additionally, a figure central to the Michigan scandal shares "his side of the story that turned him into a viral villain and would forever change college football" in UNTOLD: Sign Stealer, directed by Micah Brown, while UNTOLD: Hope Solo vs. U.S. Soccer, directed by Nina Meredith, "unpacks the unique mix of glory and scandal that accompanied her rise to a level of fame that transcended her sport."

“A lot of people had questions, but what really took on a life of its own,” an interviewee says at the beginning of the trailer. "There is so much more than what the headlines say," another person says.

Similar to previous volumes, the films the upcoming volume will feature sit-down interviews with teammates, coaches, friends, family members and other people closely involved.

Most notably, Connor Stalions — who was involved in the alleged 2023 sign-stealing scheme within Michigan's football team — and Solo sat down to tell their side of their respective stories on camera for the first time.
