Naomi Watts Coordinates Meeting Between Demi Moore’s Tiny Chihuahua Pilaf and the Great Dane from“ The Friend”
The Great Dane and chihuahua became friends at the Toronto International Film Festival
Demi Moore's Chihuahua Pilaf made a new larger-than-life friend this weekend.
During the Toronto International Film Festival, The Friend star Naomi Watts arranged for the tiny dog to meet her costar Bing, the Great Dane. Moore, 61, showcased the moments on Instagram on Sunday, Sept. 8.
"Highlight from @tiff_net — @pilaf.littlemouse meets @bing.the.great.dane, the canine star of #TheFriend!," wrote Moore, who attended TIFF to promote her movie The Substance. "Thank you @naomiwatts for coordinating this meetup. Unlikely but fast friends 🐶⭐️"
Pilaf's account commented: "I love my new friend!"
The post included pictures of Moore and Watts, 55, along with Pilaf and Bing, of course. Several photos showed the size difference between the mini Chihuahua and the Great Dane, as Bing lay on the floor beside Pilaf.
A video featured Moore gently placing Pilaf on the floor next to Bing. The two dogs curiously sniffed each other.

Pilaf has had a busy 2024. In August, the Chihuahua was featured in Dogue, Vogue's digital cover focused on celebrity dogs. "Pilaf is a Vogue cover girl! Well, Dogue... but it still counts. Such a fun shoot and proud mom moment," Moore wrote on Instagram when the photographs dropped.
Moore told the publication about how she earned her nickname "Little Mouse," which is also part of her dog's Instagram account. While abroad in France, the actress realized some people had trouble understanding the name Pilaf.
"So then she became Little Mouse, then the nickname became Mouseketeer because she's my sidekick," Moore said of Pilaf, who had flown to Europe 14 times as of the August cover's publication.
"She was meant to be with me, and I was meant to be with her," Moore gushed.
The Substance actress said that she takes Pilaf, who is a service dog, everywhere, including "Broadway shows, museums, the French Open, art openings and restaurants."

The actress and dog duo are also known to match one another. Moore will coordinate slings to carry around Pilaf to events. Sometimes Pilaf will wear bows to match the Feud: Capote vs. The Swans star's ensembles.
