Morgan Wallen Fans Demand New Music After Singer Debuts Unexpected New Style: 'Raw Vocal Talent'
Fans of country singer Morgan Wallen were struck by his talent in a video showcasing an unexpected new music style.
The 31-year-old took to Instagram on Feb. 4 to share a clip of himself playing his song "Love Somebody" in a surprising way, with only his voice and the piano.
Wallen began the video by setting up the camera facing a black piano, saying, "I'm recording this myself. Trying to figure out what we're gonna play on tour."
"Probably not gonna play this on tour, not this version anyway," he said as he sat down at the piano. "I ain't practicing much, but I think it sounds cool."
The country music star then launched into a piano version of the single "Love Somebody," originally released last October. Wallen also joked about his camera skills in the caption, writing, "Will not be taking on any more cinematography projects this year as I will be busy doing things I’m hopefully somewhat better at."
Fans immediately fell in love with the beautiful musical style and urged Wallen to take this version on tour, with a top-liked comment saying, "we actually NEED you to play this on tour."
"We love acoustic Morgan 🐐🙌⛽️," declared another, as more wrote, "please play it like this," "this version. yes." and "it’s the raw vocal talent for meeee."
Others wholeheartedly agreed with the last note, with fans writing, "he’s just unbelievable 👏" and "✨️incredible✨️" in reply.
"It’s sounds good cuz you actually can sing buddy, the falsetto 😮💨," commented someone else spotlighting Wallen's singing capabilities, as a similar reply read, "👏🔥 stripped down versions are insane perfection with that voice."
At the end of January 2025, Wallen shared that his upcoming fourth album would be called I'm the Problem, although he didn't reveal the official release date yet. The title single came out on Jan. 31. There will also be a tour with the same name starting on Jun. 20.
Miranda Lambert recently faced "mean tweets" head-on after joining Wallen's upcoming tour, with many fans questioning why she agreed to be an opening act.
