Kenny's death was first announced by Henry on the Law's Choice Distillery Facebook page, with the statement saying, "With sorrow, we announce that Everett 'Kenny' Law passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. 🕊️."

The page later shared his official obituary, which described Kenny as "a true outlaw – rebellious, fun-loving, charming, and tough as nails, yet soft-hearted toward those he loved. He was a third-generation moonshiner, following in the footsteps of his father and grandpa, Owen Law."

In the '80s, he founded a successful roofing company called Law’s Roofing Company, and recently, through Moonshiners, he experienced other success. Talking about Kenny's personal experience working on the show, the obituary said, "He truly enjoyed meeting fans of the show in-person, and often remarked how kind and supportive they are."

"Never one to sit still for long, his favorite hobby was 'picking' antiques and restoring or reselling them. His proudest accomplishment was his daughter, who he always said was his pride and joy," it concluded.

The official Moonshiners social media account also paid tribute to Kenny, writing, "He was a treasured member of our Moonshiners community since season eight. We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. Shine on, Kenny."
