The moment came after videos of her performing this week in an almost empty venue in Atlanta went viral. In images posted to X, formerly Twitter, Camila could be seen singing on stage while rows of seats were left unfilled.

"CAMILA CABELLO EMPTY ARENA SHOW LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOO," read a viral tweet with a photo of the sparse crowd. "That shit was EMPTY," another tweeted before proceeding to call the former Fifth Harmony singer a "flop." Someone else said it was "really embarrassing."

At the same time, some people — like Mod Sun — respected the fact that Camila still went on stage despite the turnout. He tweeted, "99% percent of artists would’ve cancelled the show + put out a 'mental health' statement. She just gained my respect by still performing."

He also said, "That show meant the world to the people in the crowd that night," before stressing that, "EMPTY SHOWS ARE STILL SHOWS."

And many people in the comments agreed with him. "Honestly, the world does not deserve Camila Cabello," one person stated. "When you see her artistry & calibre of her stage performance live and when u meet her in person and feel her kindness & humanity, you understand why her fans are so loyal to her. She is incredible, I hope she knows this."

Someone else said they could never hate Camila.

"EXACTLY!!!!!" wrote another. "So like her or not respect her commitment & her as an artist."

The drama comes after Camila released her fourth album, C,XOXO, last June. While her first three albums cracked the Billboard Top 10, C,XOXO debuted at No. 13 with merely 35,000 sales. The album was preceded by the panned single "I Luv It" and continued criticism toward Camila for past racist posts.

She has since apologized for the remarks.

It's one thing to not be a fan, but this all feels unnecessarily mean, and I'm glad people stood up for her.
