Met Gala: Stars step out in wild and revealing outfits for the afterparties
The 'naked dress' trend continues to dominate.
The Met Gala 2023 was filled with weird and wonderful looks, with celebrities paying tribute to the late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. Jared Leto took the theme to the next level, appearing on the red carpet as a giant version of Karl’s cat Choupette, while Aussie star Nicole Kidman wore the iconic pink dress from her 2004 Chanel No.5 commercial.
Of course, fans eagerly awaited the stars’ second looks for the famous Met Gala afterparties. Many celebrities decided to jump on the ‘naked dress’ craze that continues to sweep Hollywood, while others simply went wild. From Olivia Wilde to Karlie Kloss, here are some of the most outrageous and revealing outfits.

Kendall Jenner
The reality TV star and model swapped her sequinned bodysuit for a completely see-through version. She chose to wear a black thong on top and kept her hair pulled back. She finished off her look with strappy black heels and tucked a clutch underneath her arm.
Emily Ratajkowski
The model hosted a Met Gala afterparty and appeared in two completely different looks. In one, she slipped into a plunging minidress that had an extremely short hem. She shared a set of photos posing in an elevator on social media, with many saying she looked 'gorgeous'.
She also stepped out in a sheer Dilara Findikogl designer dress, with black lingerie visible underneath the skirt. She accessorised with a swathe of pearls, and charms around her waist spelt out "EM RATA".

Olivia Wilde
The Don't Worry Darling star showed off her figure in a completely see-through netted Chloé dress, with a statement black thong underneath. The maxi dress was made from metallic fabric that caught the light as she headed into the party.
Halle Bailey
The Little Mermaid star looked elegant and timeless, stepping out in a Georges Hobeika dress with sheer fabric around her bust area. Her old-Hollywood glamour-inspired curls perfectly framed her face, with a statement diamond necklace hanging around her neck.

Karlie Kloss
The supermodel opted for an all-black number that showed off her burgeoning baby bump. The see-through dress billowed out from underneath her bust area, and she wore a statement black and white floral choker around her neck.
Janelle Monáe
The Knives Out star had a dramatic transformation on the Met Gala red carpet, ditching her bulky, black, white and coat dress to unveil her see-through hoop undergarment over a sequinned bikini. For the afterparty, she ditched the see-through undergarment to go wild in just her black bikini.
Rita Ora
The Voice Australia coach changed up her look entirely, ditching her long, dramatic and sophisticated black gown for a trendy, casual street style. She wore a high-waisted black bikini, with pearls, gold chains and pendants looped around her neck, wrists and waist. To finish off her look, she hung a fur coat off her shoulders and donned a pair of dark sunnies.
Jared Leto
Jared's Choupette cat outfit was one of the most talked about looks from the Met Gala, so he took the head along with him to the afterparty. He also chose to wear a sheer top tucked into black pants, with black shoes to match.
Shannon and Shannade Clermont
Reality TV stars and twin sisters chose a bold outfit, with their metallic blue dresses giving fans a cheeky display. They wore matching metallic blue thong underwear and styled their hair in matching high ponytails.
