Met Gala: Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban pack on the PDA

The red carpet wouldn't be the same without a smooch from Nicole and Keith.

It wouldn’t be a red carpet event these days without Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban looking adoringly into each other’s eyes. And the 2023 Met Gala was no different, with the Australian pair appearing as loved-up as ever.

Nicole and Keith gazed adoringly into each other’s eyes as the cameras snapped away, lightly pecking each other on the lips as the crowd cheered in the background.

Big Little Lies star, Nicole, arrived on the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, looking stunning in the famous dress she wore for her 2004 Chanel No.5 commercial.

The floaty pink number, which is made of pink silk tulle and embroidered with 250 ostrich feathers and 3000 sequins, was worn by the star in honour of Karl Lagerfeld - the theme of the Met Gala’s 2023 red carpet.

“I have the most indelible memories of fittings with Karl in the atelier, and I loved witnessing his dedication to his craft,” Kidman said in an interview with Vogue.

“I remember his laugh when he first sketched the dress and handed me the sketch. He always made me laugh. He designed a number of dresses for me, but I think this is the most spectacular.”

Nicole was also pictured hugging and kissing Australian director Baz Luhrmann, who directed the Chanel advert in 2004.

This year’s Met Gala event is hosted by co-chairs Dua Lipa, Penélope Cruz, Roger Federer, Michaela Coel, and of course, Vogue's Anna Wintour.

Vogue has come up against some harsh criticism for the theme of this year’s event, “In honour of Karl”.

Lagerfeld was known for creative director of iconic fashion line Chanel, however he also expressed some problematic views on everything from women and feminism, to appropriation, sexual assault and gay marriage.
