Meredith Marks Says She Still Doesn't Understand Why She and “RHOSLC” Costar Mary Cosby Are Fighting (Exclusive)
While Marks can't reveal what happens between with her and 'Real Housewives' costar Cosby, she tells PEOPLE she's not sure what sparked their feud
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City's fifth season just premiered, and just like viewers, Meredith Marks wants to discover what causes the rift between her and costar Mary Cosby.
“I’d love to tell you what the problem was. I still don’t understand why Mary and I even got into a fight,” Marks told PEOPLE at the DirecTV Gets Real party hosted by DirecTV, PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly on Thursday, Sept. 26. “So I’m excited to tune in myself and understand it.”
The reality star, 52, says she can't reveal too much about the growing feud between the two that was hinted at in the season 5 trailer, which you can watch below. She adds that “it made no sense” to her, but she hopes to get some clarity in hindsight as the season continues to air.
Marks and Cosby are seen arguing at various events throughout the trailer. In one particular fight, Cosby confronts Marks and tells her, "You're not always the victim," before dismissing her defense with a "Have a good day."
"Yeah, you used me for three years. I got the memo," Marks replies.
But as the trailer continues, the former friends grow increasingly distant when Cosby throws Marks out of her house. "You're a sneaky, little snarky, little something," Cosby alleges. "Get out of my house!"

While Marks and Cosby may be on the outs, she confirms to PEOPLE that she’s connected with the new cast additions. “I feel like I connected with both Britani [Bateman] and Bronwyn [Newport] at different times and in different ways,” she explains on Thursday.
Newport, 39, is a full-time cast member, while Bateman is a “friend,” alongside Meili Workman. But Marks tells PEOPLE she “spent the least time with Meili.”
“Although she’s very sweet,” she says. “I didn’t really get very much time with her.”
