Melissa Gilbert has the best message for her husband Timothy Busfield, and fans can't get over it.
The Little House on the Prairie star is not necessarily one who showcases her marriage online. But Melissa decided she'd make an exception when it came to celebrating Valentine's Day. As a way to mark the occasion, she posted a candid shot of Timothy as he stood in the sun and stared at her in a pair of sunglasses. What's more, she made sure to give a sentimental shout out to commemorate the love she feels for him on a daily basis.
"My forever valentine. @timbusfield," she passionately wrote on Instagram on February 14. "How I love this man! #valentines #valentinesday #mylove #loveofmylife #myhusband #myheart."
Given how Melissa and Tim tend to keep their relationship private, seeing the actress' public tribute had fans emotional for them.
"Lucky is who loves and is loved in return ❤️," one person wrote in the comments. "We love him, too! I'm a huge fan of you both!!!!! ❤️," another declared. "So glad you found each other. 😍," a different follower added.
As fans may know, the couple first met back in 2012 when they both popped into a bar across the street from Los Angeles' Universal Studios. They quickly began dating after that encounter, and they wed a year later in April 2013 in a quiet ceremony in Santa Barbara, California.
Even though Melissa and Tim are reaching 12 years of marriage, Melissa shared there's one key rule when it comes to keeping their romance strong.
"It's all of the good things that a relationship should be," she shared with People back in September 2024. "There is rarely drama, and if there is drama, it's not caused by us. It comes from outside, and we handle it in a much different way... By the time you get to be the age we were when we met, you know what you don't want. Even more than you know what you do, you know what you will not put up with ever again and that changes everything."
