Meghan McCain has ripped her aristocratic namesake Meghan Markle and dubbed her “tone deaf” for releasing a Netflix cooking show when “Americans can’t pay for groceries.”

McCain, the daughter of the late Sen. John McCain, was quick to jump on the Duchess’ lifestyle series titled With Love, Meghan after the latter dropped a teaser on Thursday.

“Now that she wants to be American again instead of British aristocracy what she seems to forget is Americans want real, raw, uncensored,” McCain wrote on X the same day.

Netflix says that in the show, the Duchess of Sussex “invites friends and famous guests to a beautiful California estate, where she shares cooking, gardening and hosting tips.”

McCain has taken issue with this, calling the 43-year-old “tone deaf” for releasing the “out of touch” project. She claims that many Americans “can’t pay for groceries,” let alone host like a former British royal.

“All of this even in the trailer is highly curated, produced and out of touch,” McCain said.

“We are a country in rage, uncertainty and intensity right now. This concept is ill advised.”

“I would have told her to do a show helping bring fresh food to food deserts in low income neighborhoods. Do something to help people instead of your ego,” she continued.

“This is why the world doesn’t like you, nothing else. Just completely and utterly tone deaf to the moment.”

McCain added that her opinion of the duchess changed when she and Prince Harry opted to step back from royal life in 2020. The political commentator, who has worked for the likes of the Daily Beast and Fox News, said she “disrespected the royal family.”

“With Love, Meghan” premieres Jan. 15 with eight 30-minute episodes.

The duchess posted the trailer to her Instagram page, writing: “I have been so excited to share this with you! I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it. Wishing you all a fantastic new year! Thanks to our amazing crew and the team @netflix. Beyond grateful for the support – and fun!”
