Meghan Markle using vegan paint to decorate baby's ‘gender-free’ nursery

Last week, it was revealed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are installing a mum and baby yoga studio in their new home, Frogmore Cottage.

And now, it’s being claimed that the 34-year-old Duke and 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex are decorating their unborn bub’s gender-free nursery with vegan paint.

“Meghan has been looking long and hard at paints for the Sussex nursery,” an insider told The Sun.

“Rather than opt for fashionable Farrow and Ball paint in favoured shades such as Wevet, Peignoir and Pavilion Grey and Salmon, the Sussex’s are much in favour of The Organic & Natural Paint Co’s Auro range for the nursery.”

It’s believed Meghan wants to make sure no animals were harmed in the making of the paint.

The former Suits star previously told Best Health magazine that she maintains a vegan diet from Monday to Friday.

“When I’m filming, I’m conscious of what I eat. I try to eat vegan during the week and then have a little bit more flexibility with what I dig into on the weekends,” she said.

“It’s not a diet; it’s lifestyle eating.”

The Duke and Duchess are also reportedly installing a $90,000 eco boiler and childproof windows at their new Windsor home.

Renovations at Frogmore Cottage are said have been handed over to Soho Farmhouse interior designer Vicky Charles.

The cottage, which is being refurbished to make it fit for a Duke and Duchess, is currently divided into five separate apartments.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly spending $5 million to transform the property into a sprawling home with ten bedrooms, complete with an exercise studio for Meghan.

According to The Express, Harry and Meghan are ripping up the Victorian floorboards in the cottage to make way for a sprung floor – a soft floor that is often used in dance and yoga studios.
