Meghan Markle dives into her creative side in her new show With Love, Meghan on Netflix, where the trailer showcases activities that are beloved by Kate Middleton and Pinterest enthusiasts alike.

On Jan. 2, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, unveiled the trailer for her upcoming lifestyle series on her new Instagram account, writing that she was "so excited" to share the project. The teaser showcases Meghan cooking, crafting and spending time with friends, including Mindy Kaling, Abigail Spencer and Delfina Blaquier, previewing what's to come in the show premiering on Jan. 15.

One standout moment from the teaser shows Meghan trying her hand at beekeeping. Dressed in protective gear, she approaches an outdoor hive and beams as she harvests honey.

"Look at how much honey we have!" she exclaims, smiling while scraping honey from the frame.

The activity is reminiscent of Kate's own beekeeping hobby, as the Princess of Wales also tends to bees at her country home, Anmer Hall. To celebrate World Bee Day in 2023, Kate's office shared a photo of her expertly tending to a hive in a beekeeping suit in a photo tagged to Norfolk.

"We are buzzing about #WorldBeeDay 🐝," read the caption below the snap taken by Matt Porteus, one of her go-to photographers. "Bees are a vital part of our ecosystem and today is a great opportunity to raise awareness of the essential role bees and other pollinators play in keeping people and the planet healthy."

Princess Kate, 42, produces her own honey, and brought along a jar from her to show some schoolchildren when she visited London's Natural History Museum in 2021.

"Would you like to try some? This came specially from my beehive," she said at the time, according to Rebecca English of the Daily Mail. "Does it taste like honey from the shops? Does it taste like flowers?"

Prince William's wife isn't the only member of the royal family with a keen interest in bees.  Queen Camilla makes her own honey from hives at her country home in Lacock, Wiltshire, and became president of the charity Bees for Development in 2020. Meanwhile, King Charles takes a spoonful of honey to sweeten his tea — making Queen Camilla's hobby a true family fit!

A buzz for beekeeping also runs on Kate's side of the family. Her younger brother James Middleton has spoken about enjoying beekeeping as a "meditation" that benefits his mental health, and revealed in an article for the Daily Mail in 2020 that he got into beekeeping when Middleton family members (including Princess Kate!) gave him a colony of bees as a birthday gift to kickstart the hobby.

"I love spending time with my bees, checking, monitoring, treating them and collecting their honey: it is soothing toil; a balm for troubled minds," he wrote for the Daily Mail. James has been open about navigating depression, and further reflected in his memoir, Meet Ella, published in September 2024.

The preview for Meghan's new series shows closeups of several homemade confections, from intricate ice cubes in a glass to frosted doughnuts and bruschetta appetizers artfully crafted to resemble ladybugs — a whimsical treat that has been a hit on Pinterest and TikTok.
