Meghan Markle in tears in first trailer of bombshell documentary
The first trailer of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's bombshell documentary, which will give a rare peek into what goes on behind closed doors, has dropped. In Harry & Meghan, which will be released by Netflix, Meghan is seen in a number of emotional states as unseen photos of the pair are shared.
Netflix and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been tight-lipped about the documentary, but photos in the trailer show the couple falling in love in happier times smiling lovingly at each other before they become more raw and emotional.
In one snap shared in the trailer, Meghan is seen sitting cross-legged with her head in her hand as she holds up her phone. Towards the end of the clip, she is seen wiping tears from he eyes while Harry sits next to her seemingly exhausted with his head resting back.
When asked in the trailer why they wanted to make the documentary, the Duke of Sussex says: "No one sees what's happening behind closed doors."
"I had to do everything I could to protect my family."
The trailer ends with a grab from Meghan about why they are telling their story.
"When the stakes are this high, doesn't it make more sense to hear our story from us?" she says.

While an official release date for the six-part documentary is yet to be announced, Netflix says in the trailer it is "coming soon".
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly wanted to push the release date to 2023, but it’s believed that the series will be streaming in December.
While esteemed director Garrett Bradley was supposed to direct the royal couple’s new show, the Naomi Osaka filmmaker was replaced by Liz Garbus after the director quit.
Multiple sources told Page Six that Bradley had a ‘falling out’ with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex before leaving the project.
“Garrett wanted Harry and Meghan to film at home and they were not comfortable doing that,” the insider said.
“There were a few sticky moments between them, and Garrett left the project. Harry and Meghan’s own production company captured as much footage as they could before Liz Garbus was hired.”

The sources added that filming hasn’t been easy with the royal couple who are ‘panicked’ about what will end up in the final edit.
“Harry and Meghan are having second thoughts on their own story, on their own project,” a Netflix source told Page Six.
“Harry and Meghan are panicked about trying to tone down even the most basic language. But it’s their story, from their own mouths.”
