Doctor Odyssey has some steamy romances at sea.

The ABC medical drama follows a team of doctors aboard a luxury cruise ship as they navigate high-stakes medical emergencies — and perhaps equally as intense personal relationships.

Like many great medical dramas, romance also finds its way in the middle of the chaos, especially when it comes to a steamy (and messy) love triangle involving Doctor Maxwell "Max" Bankman (Joshua Jackson), Avery Morgan (Phillipa Soo) and Tristan Silva (Sean Teale).

Fortunately for Jackson, he is "familiar with love triangles," as the Dawson's Creek alum told The Hollywood Reporter in October 2024.

The actor opened up to the outlet about what makes the on-screen romance among the trio compelling, saying, "You can’t really plan for chemistry. You can put three good actors together and good material, but it’s not always there.”

“The camaraderie that the three of us have off camera has really lent itself to what we do on camera, and having the bravery to step into all that stuff," Jackson said.

But while Soo finds herself caught between Jackson and Teale on-screen, in real life, she has been happily married to her husband Steven Pasquale since September 2017.

Joshua Jackson

Joshua Jackson's character Doctor Max Bankman navigates complicated romances in Doctor Odyssey, but off-screen, the actor is single.

Jackson was most recently married to ex-wife Jodie Turner-Smith, whom he met in 2018 at a birthday party for Usher. The pair were confirmed to have wed in December 2019 and welcomed a daughter, Juno, in April 2020.

In October 2023, Smith filed for divorce from the actor.

Since then, Jackson has had a relationship with actress Lupita Nyong'o, whom he sparked romance rumors with following his divorce filing and split from nearly a year later.

Phillipa Soo & Steven Pasquale

Phillipa Soo might be at the center of a love triangle as nurse Avery Morgan in Doctor Odyssey, but in real life, her heart belongs to one man: her husband, Steven Pasquale.

During a September 2021 interview on SiriusXM, Soo shared that she met the fellow stage and screen actor thanks to her former Hamilton costar Jonathan Groff, who set the pair up on a blind date.

"The rest is history," she said, adding that she might have met Pasquale earlier when he attended her Off-Broadway production of Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812.

"I remember who he came with that night and I remember they were like, 'Let's take a picture,' and I remember one of my castmates being obsessed with Steve," she recalled. "So I knew he was there, but I just didn't remember that moment in my mind."

Soo added, "We had met that night briefly, but the real connection definitely happened after Jonathan Groff had set us up."

The pair tied the knot on Sept. 24, 2017. In honor of their five-year anniversary in September 2022, Soo wrote on Instagram that marrying Pasquale was the "best decision" she ever made.

Now, their bond continues to remain strong years later. In February 2024, the actress shared a photo of the pair on Instagram, writing, "Ask me how much I love @stevepasquale I’ll show you a picture of The Universe 💫💫💫."

Sean Teale

Although love is in the air for Sean Teale as onboard nurse Tristan Silva in Doctor Odyssey, he is a bit more private off-screen.

The actor's last known relationship was with Jelly Gould, who he last posted on his social media in April 2022.

As for his on-screen romance, though, the actor teased to TV Insider in October 2024 that there is more competition to come. Although more characters and crew members will be introduced, he assured the outlet that his, Jackson and Soo's characters are "at the root of this story."

"And that’s never going to change," he said. "The love triangle is a big part of the show, and that competition is gonna stay.”

Don Johnson & Kelley Phleger

Don Johnson — who takes on the role of captain Robert Massey — has been married to his wife, Kelley Phleger, for more than two decades.

The pair met in the mid-90s at a birthday party but didn't start dating until the fall of 1997. They eventually tied the knot on April 29, 1999.

During a May 2023 conversation with Parade, Johnson opened up about why Phleger is the right partner for him and recalled a certain conversation he previously had about love with music icon Bob Dylan.

"Obviously, she’s a saint," he said. "I was with Bob Dylan one time, and I was having relationship issues, and Bob looks up at me and goes, 'Well, see, love is about kindness, trust and respect, isn’t it?' ”

Mitchell married his wife Christina Vidal — a fellow actress known for her roles in 1993's Life with Mikey and 2003's Freaky Friday — on Sept. 25, 2016. They now share three children.

Vidal commemorated their sixth anniversary with a heartfelt Instagram message, writing, "My love, my friend, my partner. Thank you for asking me to marry you, for marrying me, giving me babies, and staying married to me for 6 years."

She added, "I love you. That's all 💕🤗🥰."

Rick Cosnett

Rick Cosnett, who appears as the Odyssey's head of housekeeping Corey, keeps his romantic life under wraps. However, he has opened up about embracing his sexuality.

In February 2020, he shared a video on his Instagram in which he announced that he was gay and "wanted everyone to know because [he] made a promise to myself to live my truth every day."

"And sometimes that is a really hard thing to do when you have all these subconscious things you don’t even know about from childhood and from society and from being, you know, just life," the actor said in the video.
