Kate Hudson Steps Out With 6-Year-Old Lookalike Daughter
Kate Hudson is living the life of a rock star mom.
The Almost Famous star, who recently added recording artist to her list of credits, was one of the featured performers at the ninth annual Love Rocks benefit concert in New York City on Thursday, March 7.
Yet Hudson didn’t show up at the event alone. Accompanying the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star to the high-profile gig was her mini-me six-year-old daughter Rani.
The mother-and-daughter duo posed for a picture at the event with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Mavis Staples in which all three are all smiles. In the photo, Hudson wears a form-fitting black top with her hair slicked back in a ponytail, while Rani rocks a brown T-shirt and Staples wears a pink sweater over a black blouse.
Hudson shares Rani with her record producer fiancé Danny Fujikawa. She also has children from her previous relationships with fellow rocks stars. Ryder, 21, was fathered by Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, and she shares Bingham, 13, with Matt Bellamy of the British band Muse.
Hudson, who released her debut album Glorious last year, performed the song “Gonna Find Out” at the benefit concert that also featured performances by Alicia Keys, Beck, Bill Murray, Cher, Staples, Peter Frampton and others.
She also shared some visuals from the event with a carousel of photos and videos posted on Instagram, along with the caption, “LOVE ROCKS ❤️🎸
What a special evening, sharing the stage with so many icons and raising money for @godslovenyc and @projectangelfood Los Angeles.”
The snaps include a black-and-white shot of the mother-and-daughter duo, Hudson sporting her glammed out black red carpet gown, and a video clip of her performing onstage wearing a grey blazer over her black tank top.
Aside from rocking out, Hudson is also acting. She stars in the new Netflix series Running Point, which is loosely based on the life of Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss.
