Meet the Hembrows: Australia's answer to the Kardashians

The Kardashians are known for their selfies, scandals and sassy Christmas cards, but they’re not the only ones.

For those who remember the 24-year-old who was found being stretchered out of Kylie Jenner’s 21st birthday, well that’s Tammy Hembrow, and her family seems to be shaping up to be the Kardashian clan of Australia.

As the silly season just kicks off, Tammy’s children, her siblings and mother have featured in their own epic Christmas portrait, which looks very similar to the one the Kardashians posed for back in 2012.

Copycat Christmas card

The photo shared on the Instagram account of the social media star’s sister Emilee shows the family all wearing white, and this portrait is not the only similarity the Hembrows share with the most controversial showbiz family.

For starters, Tammy could be seen as the original star of the family, much like Kim Kardashian catapulted the entire Kardashian crew to major fame.

Tammy is a 24-year-old mum-of-two from the Gold Coast in Queensland, who runs her own activewear brand, called Saski Collection, and has over eight million followers on Instagram and 1.2 million on YouTube.

She first burst onto the scene in 2015 after revealing her incredibly toned figure just 12 days after the birth of her first son, Wolf Aurelius.

Tammy’s official Kardashian connection

In 2017, she was named as a member of Khloe Kardashian’s ‘Good Squad’ for her Good American jeans brand and later appeared in campaign images with the reality star.

Since then, Tammy is said to have become close with the whole Kardashian clan, with Kylie even liking her photos and following her Instagram account.

Now moving onto more ahem, solid proof, that the Hembrows are the new Kardashians.

Move over, Kris Jenner

Ultimate momager Kris Jenner may be given a run for her money, as Tammy’s own mother Nathalie appears to be a very savvy woman in her own right, and also happens to look a lot like Kris.

Sisters sticking together

Meanwhile Tammy’s sisters also flaunt some impressive social media followings on their Instagram accounts.

Eldest sibling Amy, 28, is a general manager at Saski Collection, while Emilee is currently focusing on her pregnancy, excitedly expecting her second child.

Tammy’s half-sister, Starlette, already has an impressive 123k Instagram following by the age of 18, and has proved she could be the very next Kylie Jenner.

Missing from the portrait on this occasion was Tammy’s 13-year-old sister Ava.

Tammy’s infamous party moment

Back in August Tammy tried to explain why she collapsed at Kylie Jenner’s party, saying that she had been trying to keep herself busy after her break-up with ex Reece Hawkins in June and ended up pushing herself too far.

“I’ve been throwing myself into work way more than ever and I have my kids the majority of the time,” she said.

“I think because of the break-up I’ve been trying to keep myself busy and not really taking time to think about how I’m actually feeling or focusing on myself.

“I probably, definitely, shouldn’t have been drinking because of how jetlagged I was.”

She went on to say that she was at the party, catching up with friends and chatting with people when she ‘pretty much just collapsed’.

“I’m already like super, super embarrassed about it,” she said.

While Tammy said she did just want to brush everything from the night under the carpet and never think about it again, she claimed it wouldn’t be fair on her fans.

She finished off by slamming trolls who have left nasty comments about what happened, saying she “personally could never imagine attacking or judging someone for something like this.”
“You never know what someone is going through”, she said.

“I’m not going to let something like this define me.

“I’m not going to let it bring me down. I’m going to use it to grow and become a stronger person.”
