There was a massive plot twist on The Bachelor tonight when Matt Agnew didn’t wait till the rose ceremony to show one of the contestants the door.

The astrophysicist had had just about enough of the drama following Abbie’s admission that Monique Morley had called him a ‘dog c***’ and ‘disrespectful pig’.

Pulling Monique aside at the cocktail party, Matt gave her one more chance to come clean and confess she’d used those words to describe him.

But the 26-year-old said her memory was failing her, and she couldn’t recollect saying anything of the sort.

“If I’m completely honest, it doesn’t matter you don’t remember, because everyone else seems to,” a growingly frustrated Matt finally said. “So as far as I’m concerned, you said those things.”

Boom!

“For me, trust is such an integral part of a relationship, but now as far as I’m concerned, the trust is severely damaged and I’m trying to understand how exactly we move past that. Which is tough because I did think we had such a wonderful time together and I felt feelings for you,” he then said.

“Yeah look, you don’t have to believe me. I understand that,” Monique responded.

“This is the problem,” Matt interjected. “I took everything that you said on face value and I do believe you, and that’s why it’s such a tough situation because now I can’t do that anymore.

“I’m just not sure how exactly things move forward for us, Mon.”

Cue the intensely dramatic music as Monique seemed to pick up what Matt was putting down.

“You don’t want me to be here anymore?” she asked him.

“Yeah, I think it’s for the best that you leave the mansion. I’ll walk you to the car,” he replied.

Without a chance to say goodbye to the other contestants, Monique was chauffeured away from the mansion while Osher informed her co-stars of the shock exit.

However, the rose ceremony still had to go on, which meant Monique, and unlucky Vakoo, bid farewell to the chance of their happily ever after with Mr Agnew.
