MasterChef's Poh sends fans into a spin after they find out her real age
Poh Ling Yeow has celebrated a milestone birthday.
MasterChef’s Poh Ling Yeow has shocked fans with her real age after posting photos from her milestone birthday. The chef uploaded a series of snaps that showed her blowing out candles on her 50th birthday cake.
“I turned THE BIG FIVE O yesterday & here’s 5 things I’ve learned along the way,” Poh captioned the photos.
“1. Have a red hot go. Feeling intense fear & doubt is when I’ve grown the most 🌊
2. Be friends with uncertainty. It makes you resilient 🌱
3. Enjoy the climb - the climb is substance and the summit is but a fleeting moment⛰️
4. Let go - the most beautiful things in life are impermanent 🌈
5. Let things flow towards you. Anything I’ve wanted too much tends to bite me in the bum 🍑”

Fans couldn’t get over how youthful Poh looked with many calling the star ‘ageless’.
“Ageless and beautiful inside and out. Love you Poh and sending you the biggest birthday hugs xx,” one fan wrote.
“HOLY S*** SIS, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WE ADORE YOU SO MUCH also drop the skincare routine asap thx,” another person wrote.
“And yet you still look 29,” another fan simply wrote.
Last week, Poh told Yahoo Lifestyle that in an effort to make the holiday period “stress-free” for her and her family, she decided to merge her birthday celebrations with their Christmas festivities.
“My 50th birthday falls close to Christmas, and my dad wants to combine the two celebrations this year,” she said.
“The key to a stress-free Christmas is reducing your personal workload, and I can’t think of a better way to get into the festive spirit than sharing preparations for the big day with family. It’s always potluck at the Yeow family Christmas!”
In October, Poh was announced as one of the new judges for the 16th season of MasterChef Australia.
The beloved chef appeared on season one of the show where she came in second place to Julie Goodwin.
Poh went on to host acclaimed cooking shows such as ABC's Poh's Kitchen and SBS's Poh & Co. She’s also penned multiple cookbooks, including What I Cook When Nobody's Watching and Poh Bakes 100 Greats.
Poh returned as a guest judge and mentor on the show over the years, as well as her reappearance as a contestant in the twelfth season in 2020.
