First premiering in 2021, “What if…?” is an animated anthology series that re-imagines iconic events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in vastly new ways. Some of the series’ most popular episodes included “What If…Ultron Won?,” “What If…Doctor Strange Lost His Heart Instead of His Hands?,” “What If…T’Challa Became a Star-Lord?” and “What If…The World Lost Its Mightiest Heroes?”

While discussing the final season on the Offical Marvel Podcast, Marvel Studios head of streaming Brad Winderbaum teased that Season 3 will feel like the “completion of a trilogy”

“It takes us to places that you’d never expect. It goes beyond the first two seasons in its exploration of the multiverse,” Winderbaum said. “It pulls in characters that are very unexpected, and has what I think is an extremely moving and very fulfilling culmination for Uatu the Watcher.”

Season 3 episodes are directed by Bryan Andrews and Stephan Franck and are written by Matthew Chauncey, Ryan Little and A.C. Bradley. Executive producers are Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, and Bryan Andrews, with co-executive producer Matthew Chauncey, and producers Danielle Costa, Carrie Wassenaar and Alex Scharf.
