Married police chief’s alleged triple life ‘outed’ in Facebook gaffe
A Texan police chief has made headlines this week after a photo uploaded to Facebook ‘exposed’ an alleged affair, when it was spotted by mutual friends of a woman claiming to be his mistress and his wife.
Police Chief Jason Collier, 41, of Stinnett, Texas is married with four children, according to information on the department website, but has been accused of leading a ‘double/ triple life’ by the woman who claims she dated the chief without knowing of his domestic bliss.
In a Facebook post that has been shared more than 40,000 times, Cecily Steinmetz claims the Texan law enforcement officer lied to her about his marriage and used police time to carry out his affair.
She was alerted to the double up when she changed her profile picture to a snap of the pair, only to have another woman, named Kristi, reach out over the social media app to share she was engaged to Collier.

The snap also inadvertently alerted mutual friends of his wife’s to what was going on.
In a lengthy post, Cecily outlined her accusations, also uploading snaps of the couple, an annulment certificate she claims Collier faked and other ‘evidence’.
“Chief Jason Collier is living a double/triple life,” Ms Steinmetz claimed in the post. “I was his girlfriend until yesterday. He lied to me and presented me with fake annulment documents when I found out he was married.”
She also claims another woman was in the picture.
“I also found out about a 2nd girlfriend, Kristi, last night,” she continued. “He has lied to us, our children, and asked us both to marry him.”
In an initial Facebook post, a furious Cecily claims she was taken on shift with the officer but not introduced to the staff, claiming the chief has ‘no moral or ethics’
In her original post, she went on to claim he also visited her while on shift, despite the fact that she lives over an hour away from the town.
“He is a poor representative of your town,” she wrote. “He would also visit me in Amarillo when he was on shift. We just returned from vacation in Taos on Sunday - meanwhile, his other GF was told he was on work assignment in Portland, Oregon.”
She also shared a screenshot of what looks like the chief’s dating profile.
Collier placed on ‘administrative leave’
Collier has not responded to the accusations, but the Police Department confirmed on January 27 he had been placed on administrative leave while they investigated the claims of violations of city policy.
“The City of Stinnett is aware of the current situation surrounding the Chief of Police Jason Collier,” a statement from the City Manager Durk Downs read.
“As per city policy, we will refrain from commenting on any personal issues of personnel in a public forum.”
Collier is a father of four, with two children from his first marriage, and two with his current wife who he wed in 2016.
In a post from September 2020, Collier wrote a message to his current wife in celebration of her birthday.
“Happy anniversary to my beautiful bride! I couldn’t imagine doing this life without you,” Collier wrote in the now-deleted post. “I know I fall short daily of being the Godly husband, but know I will work hard to be the man you deserve!”
“God has blessed me with you and I can’t wait to see what all He has in the works for us! Thank you for loving me, sacrificing for us, and walking this life beside me! I love you … Here’s to many more years and memories to come!”
