Married At First Sight’s Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant have made history as the first couple from the Australian series to get engaged at the vow renewal ceremony.

Tonight Cam got down on one knee to pop the big question to his TV wife, giving her the proposal she missed out on before going on the show and marrying him at first sight.

“Jules to me, you are nothing short of perfect,” he told Jules. “One thing I do know, fate brought us together and for this I am so forever grateful.

“Jules I’m happy that I took this chance with you and I honestly can’t imagine a day in my life without you.”

Having already said her part, Jules was swept up with emotion in the build up to the big question.

“It’s about giving you and us the moment that we missed coming into this experiment,” Cam then said about the purpose of the moment.

“So this might be a little bit backwards,” he continued, before getting down on one knee.

Jules had already said earlier in the episode that she was sure on her and Cam’s connection and had hoped for a proposal.

However, even though she could’ve expected this, the moment was still magical and moving.

“You make me so happy. Jules, will you marry me?” Cam asked.

“Yes, of course I will,” she said. “Of course I’ll stay married to you forever.”

The former pro cricketer slipped a gorgeous sparkler onto the hairdresser’s finger, before they celebrated with a beautiful kiss.

“I’m speechless, I can’t even say anything,” Jules then giggled.

“You don’t need to, because soon as you walked through there and I saw you just then, [I knew] that you are the one for me,” said Cam.

“You’re the one I love and that I want to spend forever with.”

Married At First Sight continues at 7:30pm on Channel Nine.
