MAFS star Sam Ball shows off weight loss transformation
He's the former Married at First Sight 'villain' who shocked his followers with a new bald hairstyle last year, and now Sam Ball has shared another transformation on social media, revealing he has lost 11kg and "started being myself again".
"A little throwback for your Thursday afternoon! I look at this and see two very different people," Sam wrote in a lengthy caption alongside two photos showing highlighting his fitness journey.
"First photo, 6'3 at 119kgs.. I remember jumping out of the shower that night.. seeing myself and thinking what the F#$k? I had lost my sense of self," he continued.
"Looking back I was not happy with myself and honestly just letting life slip away."

Now he says he weighs 108kg and is "waking up daily and loving life".
"I know exactly what I want and where I'm going. No hectic diets or coaches just got my s**t sorted and starting being myself again," he said.
"I hope this can help at least one person that reads this that is lost or down about where they are today."
Sam gained a reputation as a ‘villain’ on Married At First Sight after he cheated on his ‘bride’ Lizzie Sobinoff with fellow contestant Ines Basic, who was also married to Bronson Norrish.
However, after their steamy fling, Sam dropped a major bombshell at a commitment ceremony where he expressed ‘regret’ over ever starting something with Ines.
Lizzie went on to have a very successful second shot at love when she appeared on the 2020 season where she was paired with Sebastian Guilhaus. The pair stayed together for some time after the show but have sadly since parted ways.
MAFS groom unrecognisable after six-month Instagram hiatus
The former reality TV show participant first showed off his brand new look back in November, after taking a six-month hiatus from social media.
The Canberran shocked his fans by debuting the radical new hairstyle in a selfie, after shaving off his thick dark locks to reveal a completely bald head. His signature stubble was also a thing of the past.
“If you see me less, I'm doing more,” the part-time model captioned the jaw-dropping snap.
Sam’s fans came out in droves to welcome him back to social media and praise his transformation.
“Love the new look,” one wrote.
“Holy bald suits you!” said another.
Sam had been mostly silent on his Instagram account since May 2020, when he stuck to sharing workout selfies that showed off the results of his intense quarantine fitness routine.
MAFS star hits back at transformation critics
His noticeably more athletic frame and muscle snaps did spark some debate among his fans on social media, with Sam hitting back at claims that he did anything other than hit the gym and rock his natural glow.
"I have seen some very negative comments but it’s okay," he told Yahoo Lifestyle at the time.
In comments on photos, there were a few whose fandom did not extend to the reality alumni’s new look.
"What have you done to yourself?" one woman wondered, while even fellow castmate Mick Gould got in on the ribbing, asking: "You need to teach me how to edit photos like this mate."
Though he is looking heavily bronzed, the groom insists he is simply rocking his natural glow.
“I don’t use any tan,” he insists. “I’ve always been tan so I don’t understand why people think I look different.”
