'If looks could kill': The heated MAFS moment we all missed

It’s shaping up to be one of the most controversial seasons of Married At First Sight ever with rumblings of cheating scandals, breakups and bust-ups.

And last night’s episode appeared to show the cracks between not just the married couples’ relationships but also the friendships in the group, with one bride giving another groom an extremely dirty look on camera.

In a ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ moment, Natasha Spencer could be seen reaching across Steve Burley to give his ‘wife’, Mishel Meshes, a reassuring tap on the leg, just after the pair got back from speaking during an intense commitment ceremony.

But things soon turned sour when Steve muttered something to Natasha, who could be seen giving Steve a deathly star.

While the cameras swiftly moved on to the next couple, nothing gets past MAFS fans, with a handful taking to Twitter to express their shock at the situation.

“So what did Steve just say to Natasha as she reached across to comfort Mishel? If looks could kill....,” one person said.

“Did anyone else notice Steve tell Natasha off for reaching over and touching Mishel or was that just me?,” another fan said.

The cringeworthy moment came just seconds after Steve and Mishel had one of the most awkward conversations ever to take place on the couch.

“I’m not a child, I’m a 48-year-old woman,” Michel said.

“I’m very, very aware of the way you try to control me. And I’ve got a list of stuff,” she said,

pulling out a piece of paper with a list of rules on it.

According to Mishel, she isn't’ allowed to swear, say ‘wee’ or ‘poo’ and Steve will only stand above her so he’s not at her eye level.

Mishel ended up writing ‘leave’ on her card, saying: “I’m outta here. And you can have the ring too.”

Unlucky for Mishel, Steve wants to give things another shot and wrote ‘stay’ on his card, which means the pair will have to live together for the next week and see how things go.
